Our Mission

The Alabama River Region Arts Center’s mission is to bring the People of the River Region together and enhance community life through a supportive environment where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can study, create and present art. The Center is committed to stimulating individual creative expression and appreciation of the visual, performing and culinary arts by providing high quality, affordable programs.

The Arts Center

Located in the historic high school near the banks of the Coosa River in beautiful Wetumpka, Alabama, The ARRAC is surrounded by a pastoral neighborhood with tree covered rolling hills which will inspire your artist endeavors. The grounds include an expansive green space with majestic old oak trees, a large gated back yard for outdoor activities all adjacent to Fain Park, and just a short walk to the Coosa River, the Bibbs Gray Bridge and Gold Star Park. The Art Center contains The Gallery, Teaching labs, A Community Room for presentations, music events and large classes, individual artist spaces and administrative offices.  (More information)

The Gallery
The Gallery is located inside the ARRAC displaying art from local and regional artists. A rotating exhibition area presents theme based exhibitions covering topics from local history to contemporary art.
